Site Engineer Position Overview

Murphy is currently seeking a Site Engineer to join our Energy team on the Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone project. Our team is renowned for its in-house expertise and drive to innovate within the industry.

The successful candidate will provide accurate interpretation of project technical requirements and support the project management and site team on all technical matters. The project is of national significance, contributing to the UK government's net zero carbon emissions target by 2050.

Main Responsibilities

  • Accurate setting out of works and dimensional control.
  • Resolving technical problems at all levels.
  • Carry out inspections in accordance with the Inspection and Test Plan.
  • Production of survey information and red-lined drawings for As-built records.
  • Ensure equipment is calibrated and suitable for use.
  • Ensure construction operations are carried out in accordance with Contract requirements.
  • Provide site personnel with clear, accurate information to perform their duties.
  • Supervise project environmental requirements and confirm compliance.
  • Ensure all site materials are suitable and stored according to manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Assist Site Management in updating KPIs, material reconciliation, and progress reports.

Requirements

  • Degree-qualified Civil Engineer or similar discipline.
  • Previous experience in an Engineer role.
  • Experience on Construction or Civil Engineering projects.
  • Expertise in surveying and setting out techniques.
  • Sound understanding of Quality, Safety, Health, Environmental, and Sustainability project requirements.
