About the Job

This challenging yet rewarding role involves providing tailored support to secondary age students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. Our ideal candidate will possess significant experience in SEN settings and be well-equipped to develop effective behaviour management strategies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to design and deliver bespoke educational activities.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and achieving their full potential.
  • Develop and implement programmes to promote social, emotional, and mental well-being.
  • Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Contribute to the evaluation of student progress and inform future planning.
Key Qualifications and Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven experience working with students with SEMH needs.
  • Ability to think creatively and respond flexibly to challenging situations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Degree in Education or related field, or relevant qualifications and training.
  • Personal transport for travel between placements.
Salary Details
