Management Accountant Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team at Yodel. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in providing financial support and analysis to drive business growth and success.
Key Responsibilities- Support the provision of accurate and timely financial information to the business, including month-end results and analysis of variances.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial plans and forecasts, including capital projects and fixed asset register maintenance.
- Contribute to the completion of regulatory and statutory returns, including VAT returns and statutory accounts.
- Provide financial decision support to senior management, including analysis of commercial performance and key trends.
- Work with business partners to support the preparation and analysis of plans and forecasts.
- Proactively investigate variances in expected financial performance and inform corrective action.
- Part-qualified or experienced in accounting and finance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Pragmatic, proactive, and flexible approach to problem-solving.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills, with ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good relationship builder, with ability to support and challenge colleagues.
- Interpretation of financial and commercial data, market trends, and client/customer demands and expectations.
- Ability to assist in the management of issues with political sensitivity.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Experience of using an accounting control system, such as UNIT 4, SAP, Sage, or Oracle.
