We are currently seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Assistant to work with a child with Social Emotional and Mental Health Needs at a specialist SEMH Primary school in Norfolk.

The Role

In this role, you will be supporting various pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs on a 1 to 1 and small group basis. Pupils attending the Pupil referral unit have been permanently excluded from mainstream school settings and you will need to be committed to improving the lives of those affected by emotional trauma or mental health.

The ideal candidate will have a background in youth work or previous experience in a Primary Behaviour Support role, who can provide support whilst maintaining high expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1 to 1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs
  • Work with pupils who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school settings
  • Support pupils with emotional trauma or mental health needs

The School

The school is part of a trust of Specialist Schools in London and is based in Norfolk. It is specifically for primary aged children who have suffered trauma within their young lives. The school has a highly committed team who hold the interests of each and every child at the heart of everything they do.
