The RoleJob Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join our MAINTROL team within the Engineering organisation as a Maintrol Technical Engineer. You will be responsible for coordinating working parties for aircraft recovery, ensuring safe and efficient return to service while managing recovery teams' welfare.

Main Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and oversee working parties for aircraft recovery, prioritising wellbeing.
  • Manage AOG aircraft recovery worldwide, focusing on safety, efficiency, and expediency.
  • Improve aircraft and Engineering performance through proactive use of monitoring tools.
  • Analyse and address safety reports and repetitive defects.
  • Provide on-site specialist technical support, adhering to safety, technical, regulatory, and commercial requirements.
  • Sourcing and providing required approved data for maintenance, repair, or modification of BA aircraft engines, components, or products.
  • Follow established Technical procedures to achieve aircraft, engine, and component technical, safety, and cost performance targets, driving continuous improvement.
  • Support business development and change initiatives aligned with our business plan.
  • Lead technical discussions across departments, leveraging expertise and considering business impacts.
  • Minimise Technical delays and AOG recovery by supporting activity at line stations.
  • Enhance aircraft performance through proactive tool usage, defect analysis, reliability, and Safety reviews.

  • Aircraft mechanical and avionics systems, structures, and materials expertise.
Qualifications
  • Candidate must hold CAA/EASA approvals or British Airways company approvals.
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering.
  • Recognised Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience.
  • B1/B2 Licence without Type rating.
  • EASA Part 145 Technical Engineer/Part21 CCE or CVE approvals for the role.
Salary and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, plus exceptional benefits including unlimited basic and premium standby tickets on British Airways flights, up to 30 discounted 'Hotline' airfares per year for yourself, friends, and family, and opportunities to develop and progress within the company.
