Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver electrical works and respond to maintenance requests over the course of a shift.
  • Report directly to the Electrical supervisor on health and safety and progress during shifts worked.
  • Carry out non-routine maintenance to street lighting, illuminated signs, traffic signals, and other pieces of highway electrical infrastructure.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including installing new equipment and repairing existing systems.
  • Operate small items of plant and heavier equipment to carry out the works.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and highlight them to management.
Ideal Candidate
  • A minimum of HERS Sector 8 qualification relevant to the role.
  • A full driving license (essential).
  • LGV C/CE (preferable).
  • Certification in electrical installation and testing.

The successful candidate will be a dynamic, forward-thinking individual with previous experience working as a highway's electrical operative or similar. You will have knowledge and application of current technologies, standards, and best practice relating to national Highways Motorway and trunk road communications systems.

Package Description

We offer a competitive salary between £18 p/h and £20 p/h, dependent on experiences and licenses. Our total compensation package includes:
