About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Quality Management Specialist to join our Publication Operations team at Moody's Investors Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our data products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the quality of data elements from ingestion to publication, ensuring that our data meets the highest standards of accuracy and completeness.
  • Collaborate with local information providers to develop knowledge on the availability and publication of local business information for company-specific data items.
  • Design and implement procedures for transforming and publishing data originating from multiple sources globally, ensuring seamless integration and data consistency.
  • Continuously improve existing processes and procedures to enhance the speed and accuracy of our updates, driving business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor data quality metrics and perform quality checks, reporting anomalies and working with technology teams to resolve issues.
  • Develop and maintain documentation regarding collection methods, internal procedures, definitions, and metadata, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Provide exceptional support to clients and internal stakeholders with data-related requests, fostering strong relationships and driving business success.
Requirements
  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Economics, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related major; Master's degree is a plus.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in data quality management or a related field.
  • In-depth understanding of ETL processes and data streaming technologies, including Spark, Kafka, and Databricks.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to management and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to manage large data sets and drive business outcomes.
  • Experience with SQL, NoSQL, and Python programming languages.
