We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our team at a reputable Secondary School in Cambridge. As a key member of the education staff, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons, providing one-on-one assistance to students, and creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualised support to students, helping them to reach their full potential academically and personally.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to design and deliver effective lesson plans, modifying materials and methods to cater to diverse learning needs.
- Contribute to creating a secure and encouraging environment that fosters positive relationships and essential social skills among students.
- Recognise and celebrate student successes, promoting self-confidence and self-esteem through uplifting and inspiring interactions.
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Enhanced DBS on the updated service
- Previous experience working with students with social, emotional, and mental health needs is highly desirable
- A genuine interest in supporting students' learning and development
- Ability to adapt to various classroom environments and support different subjects or age groups as needed
- Willingness to collaborate with teaching staff and support the overall objectives of the school
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- Competitive rates of pay paid weekly (£25,000 - £35,000 per annum)
