Opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon

We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Surgeon to join our team at Medivet Chester-Le-Street in County Durham. As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our feline patients and supporting our dedicated Branch Partner, Veterinary Surgeons, and Nursing and Reception team.

The practice is well-equipped with modern equipment, including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound, physiotherapy laser, and in-house haematology and biochemistry machines. We are working towards becoming an ISFM accredited Cat Friendly Clinic, providing a unique opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to be part of a pioneering team.

The full-time working pattern is 4 days per week and 1 in 3 Saturdays, or we can discuss part-time hours that suit you. This is an excellent opportunity to take the next step in your career and join the growing Medivet community.

Requirements
  • RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon.
  • Experience of supporting nurse consults and schedule 3 procedures, with an understanding of how this contributes to clinic performance and efficiency.
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
