Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing mechanical packages, working closely with discipline engineers, and reporting to the Engineering Manager. This project role requires strong project management skills, with a focus on delivering projects within budget and on schedule.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating, monitoring, and controlling projects in line with detailed scope, cost, and schedule baselines
  • Managing project changes, ensuring compliance with project delegations of authority, procedures, and policies
  • Securing resources and defining project resourcing requirements
  • Measuring progress on all contracts for reporting and progress claim purposes
  • Forecasting cost and schedule updates, including monthly forecasting end dates
Requirements

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field
  • 5-15 years of experience in engineering, plant design, construction, and commissioning
  • Professional engineering status in their jurisdiction (an asset)
  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer in a similar role
  • PMP/Prince2 registration (an asset)
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills
  • Ability to communicate in other languages (a strong asset)
Estimated Salary Range

The estimated salary range for this role is $85,000 - $130,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location factors.
