Cyber Security Educator

We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Tutor to join our Bootcamp team at Pathway Group. As a Cyber Security Tutor, you will be responsible for providing expert instruction, guidance, and support to students pursuing education and training in the field of cyber security.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct one-on-one or group tutoring sessions to teach fundamental and advanced concepts in cyber security, including network security, cryptography, ethical hacking, penetration testing, incident response, and compliance standards.
- Collaborate with curriculum developers and subject matter experts to design, review, and update cyber security course materials, lesson plans, exercises, and assessments.
- Facilitate hands-on lab sessions to provide students with practical experience in using security tools, conducting security assessments, and implementing security measures.
- Present real-world case studies, scenarios, and simulations to illustrate cyber security principles, challenges, and best practices.
- Offer technical support and assistance to students as they work on assignments, projects, and lab exercises.
- Evaluate student performance through quizzes, exams, projects, and practical demonstrations.
- Comprehensive understanding of core concepts and principles in cyber security, including network security, cryptography, access control, risk management, and compliance frameworks.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts in a clear, concise, and engaging manner.
- Knowledge of common security technologies and tools used in cyber defence, such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, antivirus software, encryption methods, and security information and event management systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify, analyze, and solve cybersecurity challenges, vulnerabilities, and incidents.
- Familiarity with ethical hacking techniques, penetration testing methodologies, and tools used to identify and exploit security vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications.
- Hands-on experience with cybersecurity tools, technologies, and platforms commonly used in the industry.
