About the Role

Skanska, a leading project development and construction group, is seeking a skilled Mobile Handyperson to join their team on a Kent County Council contract.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out Planned Preventive and Reactive Maintenance tasks, including repairs to fire doors, doorframes, and associated fittings and fixtures.
  • Perform minor Carpentry repairs to doors, door frames, windows, and timber constructions, as well as fixing shelves, pictures, and noticeboards.
  • Replace and install locks, and carry out general labouring duties, including furniture churn, gutter clearances, and seasonal gritting.
  • Assist with other PPM and extra work requirements, adhering to set engineering standards and HASWA requirements.
  • Work with other professionals within and outside the fabric specialism, and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Participate in overtime on an ad-hoc basis.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in building maintenance.
  • Manual Handling skills.
  • Ability to develop and learn.
  • Efficient management and organisation of workload to ensure effective completion on time.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and be proactive in reporting health and safety issues to the SHEQ team.
  • Good Communication skills and ability to create trust.
