Job Title: SEN Class Teacher

Smart Education Recruitment Ltd is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Class Teacher to join our team in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham.

About the Role:

We are looking for a qualified and experienced SEN Class Teacher to work with a class of 11 Key Stage 1 pupils with complex needs, including visual or hearing impairments and behavioral outbursts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and deliver personalized teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, autism spectrum condition, and other complex needs.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure effective communication and support.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the school's SEN policy and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, including Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and other complex needs.
  • Ability to design and deliver personalized teaching strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
  • Enhanced DBS check on the update service.
