About the Role

At Queen Mary University of London, we are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team at the Centre for Biochemical Pharmacology. This 12-month full-time position will provide an opportunity to investigate the mechanisms of cargo handling by macrophages during clearance of apoptotic cells.

We are looking for a researcher with a strong background in cell biology and cell signalling, holding a PhD degree or equivalent. The successful candidate will work independently and collaboratively within our team, providing research and administrative support to realise the objectives and development of our research programme.

The appointed person will be responsible for conducting research investigations under the supervision of Dr Manikandan Subramanian and contributing to the realisation of the research programme's objectives. A key emphasis of the project will be to investigate the metabolic fate of apoptotic cell cargo following their ingestion by macrophages.
