About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated SEN Secondary Teacher to join our team at Hambrook School in Burgess Hill. As a SEN Secondary Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering the KS3 and 4 curricula to pupils with varied and complex needs, ensuring their educational and personal development.

We are looking for a confident and creative SEN Secondary Teacher who shares our vision to empower vulnerable pupils to be happy and make their way in the world. While previous experience in an SEN/ASC environment is desirable, excellent teaching skills and the right motivation, personal qualities, and levels of resilience are equally important.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver the KS3 and 4 curricula to pupils with varied and complex needs
  • Develop and implement creative learning opportunities that maximize pupil achievement and ability to develop
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for pupils
  • Participate in staff meetings, training, and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • QTS or Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills
  • Nationally recognized degree
