As a Camp Manager at Ultimate Activity Camps, you will be responsible for leading a team of staff to deliver high-quality holiday childcare programs. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the welfare and safety of the children on camp, while also promoting participation, structure, care, and development.
The successful Camp Manager will be a natural leader with management experience, ideally within the holiday camp, childcare, teaching, or coaching sectors. They will possess excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk to parents and host school staff. A good working knowledge of camp activities is also essential, as you will be required to take short-term cover of groups until suitable cover is sorted.
The Camp Manager will be responsible for:
- Directly managing a team of staff to ensure they deliver quality care and activities.
- Inspiring staff to deliver quality activities by leading by example with energy and enthusiasm.
- Ensuring all policies and procedures on camp are adhered to, including health and safety and safeguarding procedures.
- Leading Camp Induction Day for staff prior to camp opening.
- Working with the Early Years Leader to ensure Ofsted requirements are met on camp.
- Liaising with Head Office with updates, queries, and issues that arise throughout the day.
- Acting as the point of contact for parents on camp, in person and on the phone.
- Managing all administrative duties on camp, including sign-in and sign-out procedures, registration, staff rotas, and changes to the timetable.
- Liaising with the staff teams of specialist programs to ensure the smooth running of the site.
- Managing any other challenges that come with running a dynamic holiday camp environment.
The ideal candidate will be a pro-active and conscientious individual, able to adapt to situations when required. They will be someone looking for a challenging but rewarding and fun job in the holidays, looking to further their career in the childcare, teaching, or coaching industry.
