We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Global Medical Lead to join our team in the Solid Tumours department. As a key member of our Global Medical Leadership Team, you will be responsible for developing and executing the global medical strategy for niraparib, a critical asset in our oncology portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the cross-functional global medical team and influence product development at the global level.
- Develop and execute the global medical brand strategy and plans for niraparib, including setting scientific objectives and owning the medical scientific narrative.
- Represent medical in cross-functional strategy meetings and workshops, and proactively offer options for innovative medical strategy.
- Provide focused support at key inflection points during development, such as launch.
- Maximize the positive impact for patients and GSK from early development to maturity.
- Act as a partner to the MDL and MCL, ensuring integrated and thoughtful insights from across a diverse stakeholder set contribute to shaping the medicines vision, development strategy, and clinical development in the early phases of development.
- Ensure that medical insights from priority markets are incorporated into the GMT to inform all evidence, product development, and asset strategy deliverables.
- Lead the GMT in the development and delivery of the Global Medical Product Strategy and associated global deliverables, enabling prioritized LOCs to execute the strategy and deliver positive patient impact locally.
- Maintain the patient at the center of everything we do.
- Immerse yourself in the science, disease area, and business to be a true and equal partner to R&D, Commercial, and Key LOCs.
- Lead through uncertainty and ambiguity, driving a culture of continuous improvement while building an agile learning organization.
- MD/MBBS/PharmD or PhD in clinical/scientific discipline.
- Experience working in oncology medical affairs.
- Experience as an oncology medical lead at the tier 1 local level or country medical director at tier 2/3 level.
- Experience directing the strategy of an asset at a global level.
- Experience working in solid tumors.
- Experience working in clinical development.
- Experience of launching an asset at local and global level.
- Asset lifecycle management experience at local and global level.
