We are seeking a highly motivated and creative Lifestyle Coordinator to join our team at Beechwood Grove. As a key member of our care home team, you will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities and events that promote socialization, confidence, and overall well-being among our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement activity programs that cater to the diverse interests and needs of our residents.
- Collaborate with the Lifestyles Manager to organize events, outings, and activities that promote social interaction and community engagement.
- Provide one-on-one support and encouragement to residents to help them build confidence and independence.
- Assist residents in making lifestyle choices that promote their physical, emotional, and social well-being.
- Understand and respect the needs and preferences of residents, and adapt activities accordingly.
- Arrange and facilitate a range of activities, including arts and crafts, music, sports, and other recreational pursuits.
- Accompany residents on weekly outings and provide support as needed.
- Run group and one-on-one activities that promote socialization, confidence, and overall well-being.
- Support the creation of new activities and activity packs that cater to resident interests.
- Set up for events and talks, and ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for residents.
- Experience working with people in a person-centered way, with a focus on promoting socialization, confidence, and overall well-being.
- Willingness to learn and obtain relevant qualifications, such as a S/NVQ, if not already held.
- Excellent communication and team working skills, with the ability to work under pressure and with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to work well on everyday tasks related to practical activity planning and implementation.
