Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced tax professional to fill the role of Head of Insurance and Investment Taxes. This challenging role involves leading the delivery of tax advice on investments made by the insurance business, including UK and international investment structures. You will also work closely with our corporate investments division, ensuring timely and accurate tax provisioning for our entities. A competitive salary of £95,000 - £115,000 per annum is offered for this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead delivery of advice on investments made by the insurance business, including UK and international investment structures.
  • Work with the Head of International, Insurance & Investments Tax to provide support on (re)insurance transactions, including review of agreements and assessment of tax implications.
  • Act as lead tax business partner to the Corporate Investments division, coordinating specialist tax advice from across the team.
  • Maintain good technical knowledge of insurance tax issues and prepare representations to consultations on prospective changes.

Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant or equivalent experience in financial accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of UK taxes, including corporation tax, income tax, VAT, and stamp duty.
  • Experience in tax aspects of Solvency II and working knowledge of IFRS.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and solve problems under pressure.
