Job Title: Learning and Development Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning and Development Manager to join our team at EG Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for championing training and development within the organization, identifying, designing, and facilitating appropriate development solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Building relationships with operational teams to identify training needs and develop meaningful relationships with colleagues.
  • Developing and implementing tools for the Retail Development Programme, including induction, skills development, and succession pathways for progression.
  • Developing and maintaining a process to ensure essential training, including Health & Safety, Food Safety, and Allergy Awareness, is completed.
  • Updating and maintaining training records for all colleagues and providing regular MI, reports to key stakeholders about completion rates, risks, and activity to ensure compliance levels are maintained.
  • Supporting the Personal Development Review (PDR) process to ensure meaningful conversations, SMART development plans, and learning needs analysis is completed, with interventions to address key needs and themes.
  • Working collaboratively with Line Managers to retain talent by developing a pipeline for internal progression.
  • Providing onsite support and coaching to improve capability, championing training and development throughout EG Group.
  • Participating in relevant projects, leading and championing as appropriate.
  • Keeping up to date with external trends and L&D best practice.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years L&D experience.
  • Experience of operating in a multi-site business.
  • Passionate and motivated to develop people skills.
  • Ability to adapt communication and training styles to include remote, virtual, 1:1, and team learning.
  • IT literate – Excel, PPT, Word, SAP Success Factors, e-learning.
  • Driver's license.
  • Flexibility with working hours and willing to travel to different locations.
