We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Chartwells, the leading provider of catering and support services to the education sector. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service to pupils and students.

Salary: £25,000 - £28,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role:

This part-time position involves working 25 hours per week, contracted to 44 weeks per year. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be responsible for preparing delicious, high-quality food that delights our clients and customers, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, and ensuring the correct use of all machinery and equipment. You will also assist with the loading or unloading of deliveries and supply vehicles, represent Chartwells, and maintain a positive brand image.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing nutritious meals for pupils and students
  • Maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety standards
  • Assisting with food preparation, cooking, and presentation
  • Loading/unloading delivery vehicles
  • Representing Chartwells and promoting the company's values
