Dynamic Head of Procurement Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned Procurement professional to join our client, a leading Food Manufacturing company in the South East of England. As Head of Procurement, you will play a critical role in shaping the company's procurement strategy and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with the organisation's overall objectives and goals.
  • Analyse market trends, supply chain risks, and opportunities to optimise procurement processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and align procurement activities accordingly.
  • Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, including requisition, sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and contract management.
Key Tasks:
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and conditions with suppliers to drive a commercial benefit to the business.
  • Continuously seek new supplier opportunities both domestically and internationally, in line with technical processes and procedures.
  • Purchase items to an agreed specification from approved suppliers.
  • Work with the Technical Manager to review the performance of new suppliers against defined criteria within the defined trial period.
