Executive Chef

Chef Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Petworth. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality food to our visitors.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients
• Work within the framework of our 'National Trust Cookbook' to ensure consistency and quality
• Provide excellent customer service and work collaboratively with the team to deliver a positive visitor experience
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and COSHH procedures to minimize risks to visitors, staff, and contractors

Requirements

• Professional chef or cook experience with a passion for food and a friendly, positive attitude
• Confidence in following recipes and batch-cooking, with a willingness to learn and develop new skills
• Awareness of health and safety compliance and a commitment to maintaining high standards
• Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and visitors
