- Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely payments and reducing overdue balances.
- Evaluate the creditworthiness of new and existing customers by reviewing financial statements, credit scores, and payment history.
- Proactively follow up on overdue payments through calls, emails, and letters, minimizing outstanding debts.
- Establish appropriate credit limits for customers based on risk assessments and company policies.
- Address and resolve any payment disputes or issues raised by customers, maintaining strong relationships while protecting the company's interests.
- Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status, overdue accounts, and cash flow forecasts for management.
- Ensure all credit control procedures are followed and suggest improvements to reduce bad debts.
- Proven experience as a Credit Controller or similar role.
- Strong understanding of credit control procedures and best practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
