Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to support our team as an Academic Support Assistant at a Primary school in the area.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for education and be committed to providing assistance to help each child succeed.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Class Teacher in preparing work for lessons ahead, ensuring students receive engaging and interactive educational experiences.
  • Maintain a tidy and safe classroom environment for students, promoting a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
  • Participate in group activities and engage with children on a 1:1 basis, fostering strong relationships and supporting individual needs.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children is essential, with a focus on creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with parents, pupils, and staff members, ensuring seamless collaboration and cooperation.
  • Able to handle challenging situations efficiently and professionally, prioritizing student well-being and academic success.
  • Inspired to contribute to innovative and engaging learning experiences, staying up-to-date with curriculum developments and best practices.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (8:30-3:30)

Estimated Salary: £21,500 per annum depending on experience
