Job Responsibilities:As an Electroconvulsive Therapy Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering high standards of nursing care for patients undergoing electro-convulsive therapy. This will involve providing clinical guidance and advice to primary/named nurses, supervising and appraising staff nurses and HCAs, driving the development of evidence-based practice within the unit, and ensuring effective communication and team building.
Requirements:To be successful in this role, you will need to possess excellent clinical skills, strong leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care. You will also need to have a thorough understanding of the Royal College of Psychiatrists' guidelines for the administration of ECT and be able to observe the physical and philosophical requirements of the 1983 Mental Health Act.
