About Selwood Electrical Division

We are expanding our electrical services to cater to the growing demands of our business. To achieve this, we are seeking an experienced Mobile Electrician to join our team in the Middlesbrough area.

In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, servicing, and repairing electrical and mechanical equipment between branches and customer sites across the south region. You will work efficiently and safely to meet customer expectations.

As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the growth and development of our electrical division. Your practical electrical engineering skills and experience will enable you to effectively manage your workload and maintain high-quality standards.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week, with an on-call rota every 1 out of 2 weeks. This may vary depending on the needs of the business.

To be successful in this role, you must hold an ECS Gold Card or have relevant qualifications/experience in electrical installations. A safety-critical medical is also required.

Responsibilities
  • You will perform electrical installation work according to I.E.E.Regulations and Construction Industry Safety Regulations.
  • Maintain, install, service, and repair electrical/mechanical pump sets within the hire fleet and customer units as needed.
  • Produce reports and estimates for repair set units and advise on safety issues when necessary.
  • Ensure good housekeeping practices, keeping work areas and vehicles clean and organized.
  • Adhere to Risk Assessment/Method Statements.
  • Communicate regularly with management and customers regarding business expectations, timelines, quality, and service levels.
  • Work independently to manage your workload and call outs.
  • Participate in a call-out rota every 1 out of 2 weeks.
Requirements
  • JIB Qualified Electrician status.
  • ECS Gold card or ability to obtain one.
  • PREFERRED: 18th edition qualification.
  • Full UK driving license (company van provided).
