Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Extrusion Operator to join our team at Faerch. As a key member of our Extrusion department, you will be responsible for ensuring the production of high-quality sheet products while meeting production targets and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Start-up and monitor extruder equipment to achieve output targets and meet quality standards.
  • Remove sheet specimens according to company guidelines and check, measure, record, and evaluate sheet parameters.
  • Participate in the dismantling and cleaning of equipment, remove scrap, and allocate sheet to the appropriate rack system.
  • Carry out general housekeeping activities within the work area and participate in stock taking.
Requirements
  • Aptitude for technical work and a good understanding of the extrusion process.
  • Ability to work to deadlines, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Awareness of current Health and Safety practices and a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.

Please note that this role requires a Panama schedule with 12-hour shifts, covering both days and nights, with an average of 42 hours per week. The current salary for this shift pattern is £31,231.20, including shift allowance, with opportunities for increase.
