Job Title: Aerospace Accounts Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Accountant to support our Finance Manager in managing financial processes within a dynamic aerospace manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of GAAP or IFRS principles, excellent Excel skills for data analysis, modelling and reporting, and proven experience in account reconciliation and accurate financial records maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:
Weekly, monthly and yearly financial close process management, general ledger account review and reconciliation with proper documentation and risk identification, ad-hoc project support as required by the FLT, internal and external audit support, management accounts preparation including balance sheet reconciliations and WIP/debtor schedules.

Requirements:
Degree in finance, accounting or business or working towards one, strong understanding of GAAP or IFRS principles, proven experience in account reconciliation and accurate financial records maintenance, collaborative team work within finance and other departments, strong attention to detail in financial reporting, excellent Excel skills for data analysis, modelling and reporting.

Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this role is £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience. This position offers hybrid working and a competitive package with opportunities for progression and study support.
