Farming Consultant Position at Strutt & Parker

The Farming team at Strutt & Parker provides clients with a strategic business and management service for their farms and estates. As a Graduate Farming Consultant, you will assist the team in a wide range of farming matters, gaining knowledge and experience to develop a career in Farm Management Consultancy.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting the farming team with farm management activities, including contract farming agreements and financial monitoring and analysis.
  • Providing technical advice on mainstream arable and livestock enterprises, as well as advising on environmental issues and farm diversification.
  • Developing and maintaining client contacts, driving business development, and attending relevant conferences and seminars.
Person Specification
  • A great communicator, both written and oral, with a team player attitude and commercially astute skills.
  • Ambitious, energetic, self-motivated, curious, and happy to network with a business development orientated attitude.
  • Interested in farming and food production systems, with experience of hands-on practical farming.
Skills/Qualifications
  • Agriculturally based University Degree, with excellent research and analytical skills and excellent IT skills including use of MS Office.
  • Practical farm experience would be beneficial.
