Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Ultrasound Technician to enhance our ultrasound services at Diagnostic World. This role is a full-time, permanent opportunity.
Your contribution will significantly improve patient care by performing ultrasound examinations proficiently and effectively for both public and private healthcare sectors, while strictly following established ultrasound practices in accordance with company policies and guidelines.
Diagnostic World stands as a prominent provider of NHS and private healthcare, delivering services from various community diagnostic and health centers, as well as through our mobile and relocatable units. Our offerings include General and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound for patients across diverse regions on both referred and self-referred bases.
Key Responsibilities
Your Role Includes:
- Conducting ultrasound examinations in compliance with existing clinical guidelines and protocols (aligned with RCR & SOR Standards).
- Performing assessments based on patient referrals while adhering to organizational protocols.
- Ensuring a safe, effective, and compassionate environment that meets the needs of patients, customers, and staff.
- Assisting the Clinical Lead and Training Lead as necessary.
- Collaborating with the Operational Management Team on operational inquiries and participating in team meetings to foster effective communication within the service.
- Supporting the Clinic Healthcare Assistant to ensure the clinic operates smoothly.
- Guiding trainee ultrasound technicians and colleagues in achieving their educational objectives.

Candidate Profile
- Possess a minimum of a Postgraduate Diploma in Ultrasound (or equivalent) and be a member of a relevant professional body with valid registration.
- Demonstrate substantial clinical experience as a qualified ultrasound technician, performing a broad range of procedures, including General and Gynaecology.
- Exhibit excellent scanning and reporting capabilities.
- Hold a full, clean UK driving license and have access to a vehicle.
- Show a strong commitment to patient care.
- Reside within a reasonable commuting distance to the job location.
