About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Coordinator to join our team at Omega Resource Group. As a key member of our procurement department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless coordination of materials and production schedules.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products in line with customer demand and inventory targets.
  • Liaise with suppliers to manage purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure materials are available to meet production deadlines.
  • Monitor stock levels and manage inventory to optimize production efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with the production and engineering teams to forecast material requirements and adjust planning as necessary.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms with suppliers to ensure cost-effective procurement.
  • Identify potential supply chain risks and implement contingency plans to avoid disruption.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, materials, and suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar Procurement Coordinator or Supply Chain role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of production planning, materials management, and inventory control.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills with the ability to build strong supplier relationships.
  • Proficiency in using ERP/MRP systems for planning and procurement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • A proactive and collaborative approach to working with cross-functional teams.
