Senior Staff Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our team at the Hospice. As a key member of the nursing team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and leading the team in the delivery of holistic care.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, and implement patient care plans, using a holistic approach to meet the individual needs of patients.
- Take the lead in coordinating the nursing team, making decisions particularly out of hours, and contacting the on-call medical team as needed.
- Administer prescribed medication, maintain accurate patient records, and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Participate in discharge planning, maintain knowledge of hospice policies and procedures, and attend education and training to maintain clinical skills.
- Act as a fire commander out of hours in the event of a fire and comply with registration requirements of the NMC.
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Experience in a hospice or palliative care setting.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of hospice policies and procedures.
