Job Description:
We are working with a well-established, CREST-accredited consultancy that has recently won a significant project with a leading Information Technology organization. They are seeking an Android Reverse Engineer to join their team.
The company supports thousands of clients across various sectors, including private and public organizations, and has been in operation for over two decades.
This role involves working in a team of six to analyze the security of Android devices, addressing complex questions that cannot be answered by lower malware analysis tiers. The environment will be fast-paced, and the project will be long-term and challenging, offering significant rewards for those involved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reverse engineering of Android and Java-based applications
- Experience with different types of code and languages is a plus
- Knowledge of the Android platform and its security mechanisms
- Vulnerability assessment and mobile penetration testing
- Knowledge of security-related topics, such as authentication, identity management, data leakage prevention, validation checking, encryption, hashing, and software attack methodologies
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in reverse engineering
- Strong understanding of Android security and mobile platform vulnerabilities
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
