Job Title: History Teacher/Professional

Protocol Education is seeking an enthusiastic and committed History Teacher/Professional to work with secondary schools in the Swindon area.

We are looking for individuals who possess a passion for History, a strong ability to work with young people, and a desire to make a positive impact on their lives and education.

Although Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is preferred, we will consider subject specialists or those with experience working with young people or in education in another capacity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging History lessons to students
  • Assess and evaluate student progress and provide feedback
  • Develop and implement effective teaching strategies to enhance learning
  • Establish a positive and supportive learning environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development and student support
Required Qualifications and Experience:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - Preferred but not essential
  • Degree/Experience in Geography or related field
  • Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for History
  • Proven experience teaching History at secondary school level is preferred
  • Experience working with Children/Young People within education
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
  • Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) with History specialism
  • Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and abilities
