Key Responsibilities
  • Production Planning and Control
    • Develop and implement production plans to meet business objectives, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of products.
    • Monitor and control production processes to optimize efficiency, quality, and productivity.
  • Team Leadership and Development
    • Lead and manage a team of production staff, providing guidance, coaching, and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of production staff.
  • Quality and Continuous Improvement
    • Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure products meet business standards and customer requirements.
    • Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement, driving process efficiency and productivity gains.
  • Financial Management
    • Develop and manage budgets for production areas, ensuring effective use of resources and minimizing costs.
    • Monitor and control production costs, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.
  • Environmental, Occupational Health, and Safety (OHSE)
    • Ensure compliance with business policies, practices, and standards for health and safety.
    • Identify and report potential health and safety risks, implementing measures to mitigate them.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience
    • Minimum 5 years' experience in a manufacturing operations management role, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience of leading and developing production teams.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
    • Knowledge of quality control processes and procedures.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
