Job Overview: We are seeking a versatile maintenance electrician to become part of a dynamic team of mobile engineers dedicated to delivering building services and plant room upkeep for significant large-scale estates across the Northern region of the UK.

Role Responsibilities: This position encompasses both hands-on tasks and supervisory duties, as you will provide engineering expertise to the mobile operations while liaising directly with site personnel.

You should possess a comprehensive understanding of plant room and building services engineering, compliance standards, and a multiskilled background.

Position Details: This is a permanent role offering a competitive salary of up to £50,000 for a fully qualified multiskilled/lead engineer. The working hours are Monday to Friday, totaling 40 hours per week, with additional overtime opportunities. A company van will be provided, and travel will be necessary as coverage may extend across various regions.

Key Duties:

  • Performing electrical maintenance and building services across industrial, governmental, and commercial properties.
  • Executing planned and reactive maintenance tasks on electrical systems.
  • Managing maintenance of lighting, emergency systems, and plant room electrical systems.
  • Completing Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  • Responding to Helpdesk requests, ensuring a professional and timely service.
  • Working on Air Handling Units (AHUs), fan coils, and general HVAC plant room tasks.
  • Conducting mechanical and fabric tasks as needed.
  • Performing compliance checks and small works projects.
  • Leading and supervising maintenance personnel, client managers, and subcontractors.
  • Providing guidance on compliance and scheduling of checks, along with maintaining visibility of compliance records.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Recognized professional engineering qualification, Level 3.
  • Qualified Electrician with a focus on electrical engineering.
  • Multiskilled background with experience in general HVAC plant, including AHUs and fan coils.
  • Possession of the 18th Edition qualification.
  • Demonstrated building maintenance experience in a commercial setting.
  • Presentable and articulate, with a solid understanding of compliance and PPM documentation.
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
  • Valid driving license and willingness to work on a mobile basis.
  • Experience in a lead or supervisory capacity is preferred.
  • Familiarity with the Facilities Management sector.
