We are seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic academic to join our Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering as an Assistant Professor in Aerospace Engineering (Aerospace Control and Avionic Systems) at the University of Nottingham.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Aerospace Engineering, including the development and delivery of new modules and curriculum content.
  • Undertake new and original research in an area aligned to one or more of the Faculty of Engineering's Research Centres/Institutes/Groups, including the supervision of PhD students.
  • Deliver tutorials and supervise group/individual project work.
Requirements
  • PhD in Electrical and Electronic or Aerospace Engineering or a closely related subject.
  • Relevant postdoctoral research experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of avionic systems for aircraft and spacecraft.
What We Offer

The successful candidate will be offered a permanent position with a salary of £40,521 to £56,021 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.
