Teaching Assistant Opportunities in Southampton

We are seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support our primary schools in Southampton. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering engaging and effective lessons, supporting students with their learning, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist classroom teachers in delivering high-quality lessons and supporting students with their learning.
  • Support students with their learning through one-on-one assistance and small group interventions.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social and emotional development.
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other support staff to meet the individual needs of students.
Requirements:
  • Relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 1, Level 2, or Level 3).
  • Experience in a similar role within an educational setting is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of the curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Caring and compassionate approach towards students.
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
