We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Student Recruitment Officer to join our Post 16 team within Widening Participation and Outreach at the University of Nottingham.

This is a varied and rewarding role that combines working with 16-18 year olds and mature students at schools and colleges across the UK, with programme and event planning.

You will support the university's recruitment and widening participation strategies within the UK, to support aspirations and attract prospective students to the University.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with a caseload of schools and colleges from the independent and state sector.
  • Deliver advice and guidance presentations in schools and online.
  • Manage the planning and delivery of projects such as taster programmes, teachers' conferences and student ambassador schemes.
  • Frequently travel to schools and colleges across the UK, some of which are difficult to get to via public transport.
  • Have a full driving licence, access to your own transport and business insurance.

Requirements

  • A motivated individual with an understanding of the journey to higher education.
  • Experience of working with young people.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to engage with a wide range of learners, families and teachers.
  • Excellent IT skills to deliver online.
  • Skilled in building and developing a strong rapport with colleagues, academic staff, and student ambassadors.
