About the Job

Midland Building Products Ltd is seeking a Project Delivery Specialist to join our team in Colchester. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing contracts from beginning to end, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of technical terminologies and fire ratings, as well as excellent communication and organisational skills.

This is a full-time position with opportunities for travel to other sites across the UK on an ad-hoc basis.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Direct and manage projects from beginning to end
  2. Define and record project requirements
  3. Liaise with customers to ascertain full manufacturing requirements
  4. Raise all manufacturing process documentation
  5. Liaise with suppliers to gain optimum supplier agreements
  6. Continued estimation through full contract cycle to completion
  7. Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools
  8. Proactively manage changes in project scope
  9. Liaise with production and planning to ensure product is manufactured to specification and on time

Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be essential
  • An understanding of manufacturing and estimation processes is desirable
  • Working knowledge of technical drawings and understanding of building regulations would be beneficial
  • Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office packages (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Strong eye for detail
  • Educated to degree level or higher would be desirable
Salary

£38,000 - £48,000 per annum, depending on experience.
