Job Overview:
Arm Limited is seeking an experienced Verification Engineer to join our Solution Engineering FPGA Verification and Validation team on a permanent basis. As a member of this team, you will be working at the forefront of embedded design, centering on Arm IP products.
We build physical hardware development platforms, based around Arm's custom system-on-chip (SoC) and FPGAs. These platforms are used for software development and validation activities for both our external partners/customers and our internal development teams.
As a Verification Engineer, your day-to-day work will consist primarily of driving verification of SoC RTL designs that are modified for FPGA implementation, developing and maintaining SoC verification testbench, writing Testcases in C, reusing C Testcases from internal IP/SoC frontend team, creating test-plans, and developing tools using scripting languages like Python, shell scripts for automation of tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Work with design and verification teams across various disciplines within Arm to define testing scenarios and develop tests to cover those scenarios.
- Contribute ideas to improve the scope and reach of our testing.
- Mentor junior engineers.
- Solid understanding of SOC Verification (using C testcases), hardware description and verification languages SystemVerilog, Verilog, VHDL.
- Experience working with systems using AMBA bus standards AXI, AHB, APB & CHI.
- Experience using EDA simulation tools for testing and debugging VCS, Questasim, Cadence.
- Experience with Perl, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other relevant technical field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Understanding of computer architecture fundamentals.
- Experience with ARM-based designs and/or ARM System Architectures.
- Familiarity with ARM debugger and trace features ARM DS, DSTREAM.
- Experience with SystemVerilog and verification methodologies – UVM/OVM/e.
- Knowledge of Object-Oriented programming concepts.
- Porting peripheral driver software.
You will expand your expertise, be challenged, and work with advancing technologies. Working alongside many other engineering teams, including software, SoC implementation, and verification, you will be involved in deep technical discussions, working with top-class multifunctional engineering teams. Utilizing your experience and skills to encourage collaborating with external ODMs, contractors, building relationships and partnerships.
