Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading Engineering company, in their search for a Field Service Engineer to work in the Cambridge area.

The successful Field Service Engineer will be offered:

  • Competitive salary up to £37,500 per annum, depending on experience
  • Working hours: 8am-4:30pm, Monday to Friday
  • Permanent role
  • Company van
  • Overtime opportunities
  • On-call 1 in every 6 weeks, with a £150 payment for being on call and double time for the first 4 hours when called out
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays

The role involves:

  • Maintaining, servicing, and repairing load-handling equipment, including truck-mounted forklifts, truck-mounted cranes, forestry, and recycling cranes, as well as demountable and skip loaders
  • Responding to customer enquiries about the technical aspects of the company's products
  • Completing necessary paperwork
  • Investigating issues that may arise

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Demonstrable technical experience in a similar mobile service role
  • Experience working with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
  • Knowledge of relevant equipment, such as forklifts, MHE equipment, HIAB's, and Moffett's
  • Flexibility with regard to travel, tasks performed, and working hours
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills
  • A full UK driving licence
