Salary:

We offer a competitive salary of £11.60-£12.00 per hour, dependent on experience, ensuring you are fairly compensated for your hard work and dedication.

About the Role:

As a Support Worker at Summergil House, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities, educational needs, and personal development of our young people. You will work closely with a talented team, including teachers, therapists, and other support workers, to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized care and support to each individual, promoting their emotional and physical wellbeing
  • Foster a positive and respectful environment, encouraging social interactions and learning opportunities
  • Implement individualized care plans, working collaboratively with the senior team
  • Support our young people during recreational activities, outings, and community integration
  • Collaborate with the wider team to maintain accurate records and documentation

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships
  • Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs
  • A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes
  • A driving license is preferable, with access to own transport advantageous due to the rural location
