Job Description

Kenton Black Ltd is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in a distillery in Inverness.

We are looking for an individual with a strong background in electrical engineering, preferably with experience in the brewing, distilling, food production, pharmaceuticals, or health and beauty industries.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers and technicians, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  2. Design and Analysis: Design, analyze, and troubleshoot electrical systems and components for various applications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
  3. Project Management: Manage projects from conception through to completion, including planning, budgeting, and coordinating resources.
  4. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all electrical engineering projects and processes adhere to regulatory standards, quality assurance, and control measures.
  5. System Maintenance: Maintain and improve existing engineering systems for increased efficiency and reliability.
  6. Technical Support: Provide hands-on electrical support and troubleshooting to minimize production downtime.
  7. Documentation: Prepare and interpret specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps to ensure that installation and operations conform to standards.
Requirements:
  1. A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, HND, or HNC, preferably with membership in the Institution of Engineering and Technology (MIET).
  2. At least three years of experience in an engineering role, preferably in hygienic process industries.
  3. Demonstrated experience with batch process engineering and understanding of associated control systems.
