Youth Justice Caseworker

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Caseworker to join our Youth Justice Team in Shropshire and Telford. As a key member of the team, you will work with children and young people at risk of serious youth violence, gang activity, and exploitation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish positive relationships with children, young people, parents, and professionals accessing the service.
• Plan and deliver tailored group and one-to-one mentoring sessions to tackle mentees' perceptions of gang involvement, violence, and exploitation.
• Maintain accurate records of mentoring work, session work, and data collection.
• Contribute to multi-agency meetings and provide expertise around lived experience and local knowledge.

Requirements:

• Personal experience of the criminal justice system or lived experience of the issues facing this client group.
• Experience of delivering sessions to groups of young people.
• Proven record of working in a high-intensity environment, being self-motivating, and effectively managing your own wellbeing.
• Relevant qualification to a good standard or willingness to work towards one.
• Ability to confidently speak in front of large groups delivering key messages.
• Excellent interpersonal, relationship-building, and communication skills, verbal and written.
