About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Plant HR Manager to provide an effective HR service to Managers and Employees within our Aberdare factory, working closely with the UK HR Team. This role will provide first-line support and guidance to Managers and Employees on a range of HR topics in a fast-paced, operationally focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of best practice human resource solutions that drive improved performance and operational effectiveness.
  • Implement HR strategy, including compensation and benefits, training, recruitment programs, and employee relations initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Prysmian Group and UK policies and procedures, escalating as necessary.
  • Manage absence and provide guidance to Managers on absence control procedures.
  • Coordinate recruitment processes, including screening CVs, participating in interviews, and drafting employment offers.
  • Manage onboarding and induction processes in accordance with UK policies and procedures.
  • Handle employee relations issues, supporting Managers with investigations, problem resolution, and corrective actions.
  • Support Discipline and Grievance processes and provide guidance to Line Managers.
  • Implement actions identified via the annual Company's engagement survey and support Managers to grow participation and build positive relationships.
  • Manage trade union relationships, including negotiation with union representatives on plant agreements.

Requirements

  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience providing a generalist HR service, preferably in an operational environment.
  • CIPD qualification (level 5) is desirable.
  • Proven ability to communicate at various levels.
  • Experience working with Trade Unions is beneficial.
  • Experience in advising on complex ER matters.
  • Thorough understanding of HR best practices and industry trends.
  • Experience and passion in leading mental health and wellbeing initiatives.
