About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join our team at OMG HR Ltd T/As SENDirect. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing a high-quality education to students with a range of Special Educational Needs (SEN), including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties, Autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver differentiated lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with SEN.
  • Provide a safe, supportive, and structured environment to foster positive learning experiences.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including support staff, therapists, and external agencies, to implement tailored educational plans and behaviour strategies.
  • Monitor progress and set realistic targets for academic, social, and emotional development.
  • Encourage positive behaviour and manage challenging situations in line with the school's policies.
  • Develop strong relationships with students, parents, carers, and the wider community to ensure holistic support for the child's learning journey.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with SEMH and complex needs.
  • A strong understanding of the challenges faced by pupils in a PRU setting.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills with the ability to engage and motivate students.
  • A creative and flexible approach to teaching, able to adapt to the varying needs of each child.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
