About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Freight Planning Manager with a minimum of 2 years' experience in transportation logistics. Your primary responsibility will be to plan and coordinate flatbed deliveries, ensuring compliance with safety and efficiency standards. You will effectively communicate with drivers and customers to ensure seamless operations and resolve any day-to-day transport issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities

Driver Communication: Maintain clear communication with drivers to monitor progress and address on-the-road challenges.
Customer Coordination: Provide updates to customers and handle delivery requirements or adjustments efficiently.
Compliance: Ensure all operations meet safety, efficiency, and regulatory standards.
Problem Solving: Address and resolve any transport-related issues that may occur.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Traffic Planner or similar logistics/transport planning role
Strong knowledge of UK road transport regulations and routes
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in transport management systems and software
