Maintenance Technician

About the Role:
This is a varied position that involves carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across the campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that work is completed promptly to minimize disruption to students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Investigate issues, determine the cause of damage, and either complete the necessary repairs yourself or coordinate with sub-contractors.
- Uphold high professional standards and actively promote a positive health and safety culture, adhering to existing infrastructure and regulations.
- Ensure all buildings and services comply with statutory requirements and the Health and Safety at Work Act, providing necessary information to the Facilities Administration Team for compliance.
About You:
- Experience in general building maintenance, including fault finding, repairs and installations.
- A recognized qualification or apprenticeship in a relevant trade such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, or carpentry.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and provide excellent customer service.
- Able to work both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Hold a full UK driving licence.
